Buttermilk Rusks



Melt 500gr margarine slowly on stove

Mix togeter

2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
9 cups flour

Mix the butter with the dry ingredients

Mix 1 tablespoon vinegar with 2 cups buttermilk and add 2 teaspoons bakingsoda and leave to make bubbles.

Mix all ingredients together and put in baking tin. Press with fingers and cut in pieces.

Bake in oven for one hour on 180 Celcius.



Chocolate Cake


3 tablesppos kakao

4 tablesppons sugar

5 tablespoons milk

1/4 pound butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 eggs

1 1/2 cup flour


Melt the first 3 ingredients on the stove. Mix butter and sugar till creamy and add the egg yoks. and then the melted mix.

Add the dry ingredients and the milk. Mix the egg whites till stiff and mix with mixture. Throw into 2 cake pans and bake in medium warm oven.

  • White Sauce





    Mix


    2 cups of milk powder

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 melted cup margarine


Mix and store in fridge.


Use when needed with different flavors added:


Add:

1 cup tomato juice/ or meat extract/ or 1/2 cup cheese with parsley/ or 1 cup of milk.

Pie doe

2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 egg
salt to taste
1/2 cup butter/margarine


Mix all the dry ingredients.
Add the egg and mix with fingers.
Rub butter into the dry ingredients with fingertips.
Ready to use.


Potato cookies

2 cups cooked potatoes mashed
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
salt to taste
you can add mince if you like
Mix and bake in warm oil on stove.


Marinade for chicken

1 tin tomatoe puree
1/2 cup tomato juice
1/4 cup barbeque sauce
2 tablespoons curry
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teespoons sugar
1 big onion cut and fried till light brown

Mix all ingredients.
Throw over the chicken pieces and leave it for 24 hours in the fridge.
